The CANOPAES research project (“Hemp: environmental and economic opportunities in Sardinia”) aims to assess the potential of hemp cultivation as a tool for the enhancement of areas subject to heavy persistent chemical pollution.
A further aim of the project is to explore the possibilities of using hemp for innovative production characterized by high environmental sustainability and economic interest.
In this context, Eurovix conducted pilot-scale anaerobic digestion trials for biogas production from hemp matrices, employing specific microbial-enzyme bioactivators developed to optimize production yield and improve process efficiency.
Through the CANOPAES project, Eurovix contributes to the development of innovative biotechnological solutions and the promotion of sustainable strategies for environmental recovery and biomass utilization.
