Eurovix participated in the LIFE WATEROIL project, contributing to the development of specific bioactivators for wastewater treatment at the Lukoil refinery.
The use of this innovative technology enables more effective purification of industrial wastewater, making it possible to reuse part of the treated water. This is expected to reduce fresh water consumption from the Mandra Dam by about 420,000 m³ per year.
The project also has environmental and energy benefits:

Decrease in greenhouse gas emissions by about 1,000 tons per year

Reduction of pollutants in wastewater by about 75 tons per year

Improving the overall energy efficiency of the refinery
Based on the results obtained, it is also planned to implement good practices for wastewater treatment and adopt a new methodology for identifying sources of unpleasant odors based on the current olfactometric standard.
