As part of its research and innovation initiatives, Eurovix has activated an industrial PhD dedicated to the topics of innovation and environmental sustainability. The project, part of the 37th cycle of Ph.D.s and funded with ESF REACT-EU resources for A.Y. 2021/2022, concerns the research training track “Microbiome-based applications for the sustainability of food prodUction and ScarTi valorization (MUST).”
During the project, research focused on two main lines of study:
-
Evaluation of the impact of enzyme-microbial-based bioactivators on the rhizosphere microbiome and Vitis vinifera cultivation;
-
Collection and selection of fungal strains from ruminant intestines and feces to analyze their ability to degrade lignocellulosic compounds.
With this initiative, Eurovix supports scientific research and contributes to the development of innovative biotechnological solutions for the sustainability of food production and the valorization of waste.
