The study concerned a bioremediation work carried out in the port of Licata in Sicily with the aim of reducing the environmental impact given by sea bream farms with sea cages. In fact, the arm of the port involved in the experimentation has a seabed depth of about 8 meters and is affected by accumulation of organic material related to the overlying floating cages. Eurovix has provided a type of bioactivator in tablet form to be deposited on the seabed in order to degrade the organic component, improve the environmental conditions of the seabed, the water column and finally the animal welfare of the reared fish.
