{"id":11488,"date":"2024-08-14T09:29:50","date_gmt":"2024-08-14T09:29:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurovix.it\/2024\/08\/14\/biochar-latium\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T09:03:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T09:03:33","slug":"biochar-latium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurovix.it\/en\/2024\/08\/14\/biochar-latium\/","title":{"rendered":"Biochar Latium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"241\" data-end=\"429\">The BIOCHAR LATIUM project is dedicated to the valorization of biochar obtained from the recovery of waste woody materials from Lazio&#8217;s production chains.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"491\">The main objectives of the research project are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"493\" data-end=\"760\">\n<li data-start=\"493\" data-end=\"579\">\n<p data-start=\"495\" data-end=\"579\">Experiment with biochar production from local waste materials;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"580\" data-end=\"680\">\n<p data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"680\">Evaluate the use of biochar as a soil conditioner for soil quality improvement;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"760\">\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"760\">Promoting the activation of the biochar supply chain in the Lazio region.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"995\">In this context, Eurovix is involved in studying the effects and identifying the best ways to apply locally produced biochar, either alone or in combination with bioactivator mixtures, on:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1178\">\n<li data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1069\">\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1069\">Soils poor in organic matter, to improve their fertility;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1178\">\n<p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1178\">Soils contaminated with hydrocarbons and heavy metals, to promote their recovery and redevelopment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1414\">Through this project, Eurovix contributes to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable resource management and soil quality improvement while fostering the circular economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BIOCHAR LATIUM project is dedicated to the valorization of biochar obtained from the recovery of waste woody materials from Lazio&#8217;s production chains.
