The BIOCHAR LATIUM project is aimed at the valorization of biochar produced from the recovery of waste woody materials from supply chains in Lazio. The objectives of the research project are: to test the production of biochar from local waste materials and its application as a soil conditioner, as well as to stimulate the activation of the biochar supply chain in Lazio. In this context, Eurovix follows the effects and the best ways to apply locally produced biochar (alone or together with a mixture of bioactivators) on soils poor in organic matter and on soils polluted by hydrocarbons and heavy metals.
